Make a Trailmix Public or Private

When a user creates a trailmix, it’s private by default, and only the user that created the trailmix can see it. The user can make a trailmix public and share it with other learners on the enablement site, or make a trailmix that they previously shared private again.

User Roles and Permissions
Enablement Site User Roles  
This topic supports these enablement site roles:
  • Content Creators
  • Learners
Required System Permissions  
To access content on your enablement site: Permission to access at least one content collection

You can select these values for sharing a trailmix.

Everyone (Public)
Any learner who can log in to your enablement site can access the trailmix.
You (Private)
Only the learner who created the trailmix can access it.
Tip
Tip When a trailmix is public, make sure that the learners who receive the link can access the content collections that contain the trailmix’s trails and modules. If learners can’t access a content collection that a trail or module belongs to, they can’t access any part of the trailmix.
  1. Log in to your enablement site, and click Trailmixes.
  2. To share a private trailmix:
    1. On the Trailmixes index page, scroll to the Created by Me section, and click the trailmix title.
    2. Click Share.
    3. Under Visible to, select Everyone (Public).
    4. To share the trailmix with others, copy the link.
  3. To change a public trailmix to private:
    1. On the Trailmixes index page, scroll to the Created by Me section, and click the trailmix title.
    2. Click Share.
    3. Under Visible to, select You (Private).
