Let Users Modify Salesforce for Outlook (Retiring) Settings
Let users modify their own Salesforce for Outlook settings by editing users’ Outlook
configurations in Setup. After you do, users can modify their settings from their Personal
Settings in Salesforce.
Available with the purchase of Sales Cloud or Government Cloud in: Personal,
Contact Manager, Professional, Enterprise, Performance,
Unlimited, and Developer Editions
You can overwrite users' modifications anytime by selecting
Overwrite configuration changes made by users in a configuration.
After you save the updated configuration, the new settings replace the existing settings
for users of the configuration the next time their data syncs.
From Setup, enter Outlook Configurations in the Quick
Find box, then select Outlook Configurations.
Edit a configuration, and select any of the following options under Data Settings for
each object being synced. You can allow users to modify:
Whether object is synced
Sync direction
Conflict behavior
Field mappings
Outlook folder for syncing
Click Save. All changes take effect the next time data syncs for
the users in this configuration.
