In a sandbox, delete the related data transforms and data lake objects (DLO) to enable
Prospecting Center without errors. You can also set up your sandbox, if you’ve enabled Prospecting
Center on your production Salesforce org and you want to test features.
Required Editions
Available in: Lightning Experience
Available with Sales Engagement, which is included with Sales in Performance,
Unlimited Editions, Agentforce 1 Edition, and available for an extra cost in
Professional and Enterprise Editions. Sales Engagement is also available for
an extra cost in Service and Lightning Platform.
Important Prospecting Center is scheduled for retirement in all Salesforce orgs as
of April, 2026. For existing customers, Prospecting Center remains available till April
2027.
User Permissions Needed
To enable users to access the Prospecting Center app:
Prospecting Center User
Make sure Sales Engagement and Data 360 are enabled.
In the Data Cloud Setup, enter Salesforce CRM, and then
click Salesforce CRM.
Activate your Salesforce CRM connector using the dropdown.
In the App launcher, enter Data Transforms, and then click
Data Transforms.
The list of data transforms in your org appears.
Identify the data transforms with the names ExtractEmailMessageTopics_Home,
ExtractEventParticipantsAndTopics_Home, and ExtractVoiceCallParticipantsAndTopics_Home for Home
org and ExtractEmailMessageTopics_<orgalias>,
ExtractEventParticipantsAndTopics_<orgalias>, and
ExtractVoiceCallParticipantsAndTopics_<orgalias> for Companion org.
To delete each of these data transforms, use the dropdown and select
Delete.
In the App Launcher, enter Data Lake objects, and then click
Data Lake Objects.
The list of data lake objects in your Saleforce org appears.
To determine the DLOs that need to be deleted, identify the DLOs with the names
EventParticipant_Home, EventTopic_Home, VoiceCallParticipant_Home, VoiceCallTopic_Home, and
EmailMessageTopic_Home for Home org and EventParticipant_<orgalias>,
EventTopic_<orgalias>, VoiceCallParticipant_<orgalias>, VoiceCallTopic_<orgalias>, and
EmailMessageTopic_<orgalias> for Companion org.
Open each DLO to identify if it has field mappings. If field mappings don’t exist, delete
the DLO. If field mappings exist, delete the field mappings, and then delete the DLO.
If the Remove Mappings button is disabled, click Delete
Object.
