Consumption Forecasting Limitations

Learn about the limitations of Consumption Forecasting before setting it up for your users.

Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited with Sales, and in Agentforce 1 Sales Edition
  • You can’t move consumption forecast metadata between orgs, such as from sandbox to production, using change sets or Metadata API.
  • Sales reps see only up to 2000 rows when all dimensions are expanded in the forecast grid.
  • Data in the forecast grid for level 2 and 3 dimensions are grouped by the unique identifier of the selected data model objects (DMOs), not by the selected dimension field. The dimension field is used only for display purposes.
  • Manager and seller overrides in Consumption Forecasting is enabled by default and you can’t disable it.
  • Consumption Forecasting isn't supported in Government Cloud Plus. To avoid issues, don’t turn this feature on in Government Cloud Plus orgs. For more information, contact your Salesforce account executive.
  • Consumption Forecasting doesn’t support multiple currencies and Advanced Currency Management settings.
  • Consumption Forecasting doesn’t support these features:
    • Allow Forecast Submissions
    • Enable Adjustments and Judgments
    • Manage Forecast Rollups
    • Territory Hierarchy
