            1. Enter a name and optional description.
            2. For Assignee, search for a sales team member to assign the milestone to.
              Note
Note Only users who you’ve shared the sales plan with are available for milestone assignments.
            3. Specify a due date.
            4. Click Add.

Follow these guidelines for managing milestones.

          • At the plan level, plan owners and members can create, delete, modify, and close milestones for all segments.
          • At the segment level, plan members can create, delete, modify, and close milestones for their descendants.
          • Users who are assigned to milestones receive notifications and are responsible for completing the milestones. They can close and reopen them.
          • Plan owners and members can view milestone progress with a burndown chart.
          • To visualize progress on the burndown chart, set plan due dates at least two weeks in advance of plan creation dates.

The burndown chart uses these indicators.

          Line Color Description
Solid green Daily and weekly tracking for milestone completion.
Dashed green Open milestones expected to close before upcoming plan due dates, based on the previous week’s progress. For example, your team closed two milestones last week, this line projects that your team closes two milestones each week until no milestones remain open before the plan’s due date.
Dashed yellow Open milestones expected to close after upcoming plan due dates, based on the previous week’s progress.
Dashed red Open milestones past plan due dates.
