Mention Salesforce Records in Microsoft Teams Channels and Chats
To provide information about a Salesforce record in Microsoft Teams, mention the
Salesforce record that applies to the conversation. Other team members can review the record
details without leaving Teams.
Required Editions
Available in: Lightning Experience
Available with Sales Cloud and Service Cloud in: Enterprise,
Performance, and Unlimited Editions
User Permissions Needed
Use the integration for Teams
User for Teams Integration
In a Teams channel or chat, select the icon to open the Salesforce app.
If you have many apps pinned for messaging, click or tap the more options menu, and then
search for Salesforce. If you still can’t find the app, contact your Teams administrator for
help.
Search for the record you want to mention, and select Mention
Record.
Add any additional text to your message, and press Enter to add it to the
conversation.
Depending on the Salesforce settings, users see information about the record or a message that
a Salesforce record was shared with the option to preview the record.
