          Note
Note The utterance limit applies to the MLDomain that powers an intent set. An MLDomain can be shared across multiple bot versions (active or inactive) and across multiple languages. Utterances that come from any version or language that uses the same MLDomain count toward the 10,000 limit. Some utterances, such as those stored with a null language value, do not appear in the UI but are still included in the MLDomain total.

An MLDomain is the machine learning model that stores the intents and utterances for an intent set. A single MLDomain can be reused when a bot is cloned, upgraded, or localized, so multiple bot versions and languages can contribute utterances to the same domain.

          Tip
Tip If the same intent set is used across several bot versions or languages, regularly review and delete unused utterances to help avoid reaching the MLDomain limit.

          Time Limits

          Description Limit
Apex action time limit (standard bots) 10 to 30 seconds
Apex action time limit (enhanced bots) 10 to 60 seconds
Bot processing time limit 120 seconds
Session inactivity time limit (standard bots on Chat and standard Messaging channels)

          2 hours

If the end user requests a transfer to a live support rep, the standard bot attempts to transfer up to the time limit. If no support reps are available at the end of the time limit, the transfer is closed.

Inactive sessions can extend up to five minutes beyond the limit, because the process that closes inactive sessions runs every five minutes.

Session inactivity time limit (standard bots on standard Messaging channels and third-party enhanced Messaging channels)

          8 hours

Inactive sessions can extend up to five minutes beyond the limit, because the process that closes inactive sessions runs every five minutes.
