          Salesforce-Workday Integration

          Salesforce-Workday Integration

Integrate Salesforce with Workday to import employee data such as employee name, contact details, associated location, organization, and the reporting manager directly from Workday into Salesforce. Provision users by turning on the autocreate settings. All the employee records imported from Workday are saved in Salesforce, with contact information saved in Person Account and employee details saved in the Employee object. The locations and organizations from Workday are saved in the Locations and Internal Organization Units objects in Salesforce. The reporting manager information for an employee is saved in the Reports To field on the employee's Person Account.

          Required Editions

The developer name of the Employee object is Employee2.

Before you enable Salesforce-Workday integration, you must:

          • Import Employees from Workday
To import employee details from Workday to Salesforce, enable the integration feature to establish a connection between the two platforms.
          • View Employee Records Imported from Workday
View the details of the employees, including their contact information and reporting manager, in Salesforce after you import them from Workday.
          • Enable Expense Management App for Employees
To help your employees submit expense reports directly in Employee Portal by using the service process or Agentforce, enable the Workday Expense Management MuleSoft integration app in the org.
          • Enable Leave Management for Employees
To help your employees submit leave requests and track leave balances directly in Employee Portal by using Agentforce or the service processes, enable the Absence Manager integration app in the org.
          • Enable Payment Allocation Process for Employees
Your employees can use the service process or Agentforce in Employee Portal to create and manage multiple direct deposit accounts, and split their salary between the accounts.
          • Enable Profile Management for Employees
To help employees update their profile details, such as name and contact information directly from Employee Portal by using the Agentforce or service process, enable the Employee Profile Update integration app in the org. The changes automatically syncs with Workday.
          • Provision Users with Required Profiles and Auto-Create User Records
Bulk provision all imported employees by assigning them the required profiles and permissions. After you complete the initial provisioning process, automatically create user records for new employee entries in Salesforce without rerunning the provisioning.
          • Sync Employee Profile by Status
Enable the Employment Status Data Import app in your Salesforce org to sync the employee profile between Workday and Salesforce by employee status. Link Workday employee statuses with their corresponding Salesforce statuses to ensure accurate synchronization. The Employment Status Data Import app also updates other employee details from Workday, such as end date, reporting manager, and address changes, in their Salesforce profiles.
