          What is Salesforce Field Service?

          Salesforce Field Service (SFS) is a platform that helps businesses manage field service operations. It's an extension of Agentforce Service (formerly Service Cloud) that provides a centralized platform for managing service engagements, assigning tasks, and tracking performance. SFS also gives call center reps access to customer data and AI-driven insights to help them solve issues quickly and effectively on-site.

          What is Field Service Asset Management?

          Field Service asset management involves the management of the physical assets of an organization throughout each asset's lifecycle. In Salesforce Field Service, businesses can track and manage the coverage, health, maintenance, repair, and replacement of their customers' assets. Some of the critical data required (ex. asset configuration) for the execution of these functions lives in systems outside of Salesforce. Integrating the data with Salesforce Field Service is critical in maintaining, monitoring, and prolonging the lifespan of assets.

          To surface accurate data that field service organizations need to serve their customers effectively, integration with ERP is critical. MuleSoft is included as part of Field Service E1E to ensure customers can perform bi-directional integration between SAP ERP and Salesforce.

          This package includes (not comprehensive):

          • 1 million messages
          • 3200-GB throughput 
          • SAP Connector (1 pre-prod, 1 prod)

          Note Mule capabilities included in this bundle are to be used only for the purposes of asset management integration between SAP and Salesforce. Using MuleSoft allotted capabilities for other use cases violates Field Service E1E contractual terms. 

          Asset management includes the integration of these components:  

          • Systems: SAP, Salesforce
          • Objects: Products, Assets, Asset Attributes, Locations, Warranties, Service Contracts, Entitlements, Return Orders 
          • Operations: Create, Update, Delete, Get

          Understanding your usage allocation is important to the success of your integration. Salesforce provides tools to help you monitor usage so that you can avoid exceeding these allocations, or purchasing overages when needed.
