Field Service). This article includes information on the release cadence for major, patch, and
daily releases—also known as emergency releases—for core and managed package features.
Required Editions
Available in: both Salesforce Classic (not available in all orgs) and Lightning
Experience
The Agentforce Field Service and Operations core features, managed package, and
mobile app are available in Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer
Editions.
Release Maintenance Types
Agentforce Field Service and Operations has three types of releases, which align with
Salesforce maintenance types: major releases, patch releases, and daily releases. So you can
best prepare for changes, here’s a description for each type of release, including the
length of their associated beta testing period.

Major release
Updates Salesforce Field Service with new features. The beta period is
approximately 30 days.
Three times per year
Patch release
Deploys changes and fixes as needed to address significant, but nonemergency,

As needed
Daily release (also known as emergency release)
Deploys fixes to emergency customer-impacting issues as needed. No beta period,
because daily releases are deployed on an emergency basis.

Release Calendar and Communication
Note Field Service is now Agentforce Field Service and Operations. In some cases,
we still use Field Service to refer to this product area in Salesforce applications and
documentation.
