Show or Hide the Bulk Status Change Icon for Bundled Service Appointments

Control the visibility of the Bulk Status Change icon for bundled Service Appointments in the Field Service mobile app to prevent data sync errors. Using a single action to manage multiple appointments can sometimes lead to synch queue problems if some appointments fail validation. Disabling this icon requires mobile workers to review and update the status of each appointment individually, which helps prevent potential sync issues.

          Required Editions

Available in: both Salesforce Classic (not available in all orgs) and Lightning Experience
The Field Service core features, managed package, and mobile app are available in Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions.
To access the Field Service mobile app, users need the Field Service Mobile user license.

To configure this setting, make sure that you have:

          • Salesforce Field Service installed and configured
          • The Bundler feature enabled
          • Admin permissions to modify the Connected App setting in Salesforce Setup

Hiding the bulk status change icon for bundled Service Appointments applies globally to all mobile workers that use the Connected App for both iOS and Android. You can’t hide the icon for only a subset of users. If you disable the icon, the mobile worker must manually change the status for every bundled service appointment. There’s no alternative bulk action available in the app.

          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, search for Connected Apps, and then select Manage Connected Apps.
          2. Select the Connected App used for the Field Service mobile app (typically named "Salesforce Field Service" or similar).
          3. Scroll down to the Custom Attributes section and click New.
          4. Enter the following for the attribute:
          5. Attribute Key: DISABLE_BUNDLED_SA_EDIT_BUTTON
          6. Attribute Value: In the text field, enter “true”. Make sure that you wrap the value in quotation marks.
          7. Click Save.
