          Tip

For a more streamlined experience, use the automated Salesforce Go tool to install and configure this feature. If you encounter issues with the automation, you can follow the manual setup. To learn more, see Discover and Set Up Features with Salesforce Go.

Streamline Your Setup with Automated Flow Association

Automate form-to-record linking with Data Capture Auto-Association Rules in Salesforce Go.

          1. In Salesforce Go, select Field Service Cloud.
          2. Click the Boost Mobile Worker Efficiency card, and go to Data Capture. And then on the Create Data Capture Auto-Association Rules, click Manage.
          3. Enter the following:
            1. Rule Label API Name: Give your rule a clear, descriptive name.
            2. Target Object: Select the parent record type that triggers the form, such as Service Appointment, Work Order, or Work Order Line Item.
            3. Action Definition: Search for and select the specific Data Capture flow (form) you want to associate.
            4. Define Your Criteria: Use the Criteria Definition section to set specific conditions. Rules currently use AND logic only to target highly specific records.
            5. Set Execution Order: If you have multiple forms for one object, use the Execution Order field to determine which appears first.
          4. Click Save.

One rule links to exactly one Data Capture form. If you need to associate multiple forms, create a separate rule for each.

          Assign Flows Manually

To assign Data Capture flows to users, you must add the Form junction object to your parent record (such as a work order, work order line item, or service appointment) page layout. The Form junction object allows you to link a parent record with a form you build in Flow Builder.

          Required Editions

          User Permissions Needed
To build Data Capture flows: Field Service Standard
To assign Data Capture flows to mobile workers: Manage Flows (Admin profiles have this permission by default)
To access Data Capture forms (mobile workers): Lightning SDK for Field Service Mobile
To run flows (mobile workers): Run Flow
To prime subflows for offline work (mobile workers): View Setup and Configuration
          Important
          Important

The Form junction object fields are visible and editable by default for the following standard profiles: Standard User, System Administrator, Contract Manager, Solution Manager, and Marketing User.

For other profiles, you can make the fields visible and editable by changing their field level security settings. From the Object Manager, See Field Permissions to learn more.

To add the Form junction object to the parent record, follow these steps.

          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, type Object and select Object Manager.
          2. Search for your parent record (work order, work order line item, or service appointment).
          3. Select Page Layouts, and then choose a page layout you want to add the Form tab to.
          4. Click Related Lists, and then drag Forms onto your page layout.

You’re ready to build and assign Data Capture flows.

          Note
Note Data Capture relies on Briefcase Builder to prime records for offline use. See Briefcase Builder.
