          Set Up Performance Priming

          Set Up Performance Priming

Follow these steps to successfully implement Performance Priming for your team.

          Required Editions

Available in: both Salesforce Classic (not available in all orgs) and Lightning Experience
The Field Service core features, managed package, and mobile app are available in Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions.
To access the Field Service mobile app, users need the Field Service Mobile user license.
          User Permissions Needed
To access Performance Priming Performance Priming for Field Service Mobile
          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter and select Field Service Settings.
          2. Under the Lightning SDK for Field Service Mobile section, check Enable Lightning SDK for Field Service Mobile.
          3. Under the Performance Priming section, check Enable Performance Priming for offline mobile usage.

Field Service automatically generates offline briefcases for profiles with active users that have the Field Service mobile license assigned and at least one user with the Performance Priming for Field Service Mobile user permission.

          Note
Note To get the full benefit of Performance Priming, users need both the Field Service mobile license and the Performance Priming for Field Service Mobile user permission.

After saving, the system generates briefcases for each selected profile. These briefcases determine which records and metadata will sync to mobile clients. Nightly scheduled jobs also regenerate briefcases to keep them updated. You can see a notification for these changes by clicking the bell icon located in the top right corner of their org.

Once generated, Performance Priming briefcases can be viewed in Briefcase Builder. These briefcases are read-only and are modified through admin configurations.

          Note
Note You can modify the layouts assigned to profiles and list views to control which rules are generated for profile briefcases, thereby determining which records are primed. After making changes, either manually regenerate Performance Priming briefcases or wait for automatic briefcase regeneration.
