          Update Inaccessible AWS Root Email Address

          If the root user email address in inaccessible, use the Connect APIs to update this root user email address of the AWS sub-account.

          Required Editions

          This article applies to:

          • Service Cloud Voice with Amazon Connect
          View supported editions.

          You must have the CustomizeApplication, and ModifyAllData admin permissions to reset the root email address.

          1. Log in as an admin.
          2. Use your preferred method to trigger the /services/data/{SaleforceAPIVersion}/connect/voice/root-email-address-update/start connect API to start the email update.
          3. In tthe request payload, provide the new email address.Reset root email address
            Triggering the API sends an email notification about the root email address change request to all the admins of the org. In the new email address, you will receive a verification code from AWS.
          4. Use your preferred method to trigger the /services/data/{SaleforceAPIVersion}/connect/voice/root-email-address-update/accept connect API to update the email address.Reset root email address complete
          5. In the request payload, provide the new email address, and the verification code received in your email.

          After updating the root user email address, you can use the new email address to reset the account password.
