          Contact Fields

Automatic Contact Enhancements adds these fields to a contact and subsequently updates them. These fields are shown on the buyer relationship map for an account or opportunity. To see the fields on the contact record, add them to the Contact record layout. Buyer Attributes, Department Group, and Seniority Level fields are available for all profiles except custom and minimum-access. To provide access, use field-level security in Object Manager.

          • Department Group—Represents the business unit, function, or department that contacts belong to in their company.
          • Seniority Level—Reflects the hierarchical position that contacts have in their company.
          • Buyer Attributes (optional)—Reflect the roles that contacts have on a deal or account.

Automatic Contact Enhancements updates these existing fields on a contact.

          • Fax
          • MailingCity
          • MailingCountry
          • MailingPostalCode
          • MailingState
          • MailingStreet
          • Phone (business phone)
          • Title

          Contact Field Re-Enhancement

All 11 contact fields are updated automatically every 4 days with data from your latest email activity, with the following exceptions.

          • Buyer Attributes, Department Group, or Seniority Level—After you update one of these fields manually, Automatic Contact Enhancements won’t update any of the 3 fields for that contact. We don’t want you to lose your work! For example, after you turn on Automatic Contact Enhancements, you update a contact’s seniority level manually. After that, even if new data is detected in email activity, Automatic Contact Enhancements won’t update the Seniority Level, Department Group, and Buyer Attributes for that contact.
          • Fax, MailingCity, MailingCountry, MailingPostalCode, MailingState, MailingStreet, Phone, Title—After you update one of these fields manually, Automatic Contact Enhancements won’t update any of the 8 fields for that contact. We don’t want you to lose your work! For example, after you turn on Automatic Contact Enhancements, you update a contact’s mailing address manually. After that, even if new data is detected in email activity, Automatic Contact Enhancements won’t update the address, Fax, Phone, and Title for that contact.

          Contact Limitations

          • Automatic Contact Enhancements doesn’t update private contacts.
          • Automatic Contact Enhancements doesn't update contacts added by Automatic Contact Creation unless they're in a Buyer Relationship Map.
          • Contacts with the same email address are updated with the same changes at the same time. For example, if Automatic Contact Enhancements updates the job title on a contact that has abc@xyz.com email, all contacts with that email address have the job title updated.
          • You can’t change the text of Department Group and Seniority Level picklist value labels.
          • To ensure that the buyer relationship map feature works as expected, don’t change Buyer Attributes picklist value labels in Object Manager. For example, if you change Detractor to Detract, the value isn’t shown in red in a buyer relationship map.

          Email Usage

          • After enablement, Automatic Contact Enhancements updates contact information from your new email interactions and up to 4 historical email interactions.
          • Information from emails likely sent by bots or from unmonitored email accounts isn’t used to complete contact fields. For example, emails with sender addresses containing “no-reply” or “@group.calendar.google.com” aren’t used by Automatic Contact Enhancements.

          Supported Languages

Automatic Contact Enhancements supports emails in English only. The feature’s generative AI ignores emails in other languages.
