About Salesforce Data 360
Share Data with Snowflake

Share Data with Snowflake

To access Data 360 data, create a data share that contains Data 360 objects. You can access Data 360 objects as views in a Snowflake account. When data is available in Snowflake, you can work on harmonized and unified data.

Important
Important You can’t create legacy Snowflake data share targets. Create a Snowflake V2 data share target instead, and link your existing and new data shares to it. Migrate existing data shares that are linked to a legacy Snowflake data share target to a Snowflake V2 data share target. See Migrate Data Shares with Legacy Snowflake Data Share Target. Don’t unlink an existing data share from its legacy Snowflake data share target until you verify that the Snowflake V2 connection works. Downstream processes in Snowflake can refer to the database that was created using the legacy Snowflake data share target.

Before you begin:

  1. Identify the Data 360 objects you want to access and create a data share in Data 360.
For more information, see Create a Data Share.
  2. Create users in Snowflake and obtain the user credentials.
For more information, see Get User Credentials from Snowflake.
  3. To establish connectivity with a Snowflake account, create a data share target in Data 360.
  4. To make the Data 360 objects accessible in Snowflake, link the data share with the data share target.
  5. View the data share in Snowflake.
    1. Select the data share from private sharing in the Snowflake account.
    2. Create a database on the data share.
To view the Data 360 objects in the database login as an ACCOUNTADMIN. You can query the data and create joins across Data 360 and Snowflake tables. If you’re using the classic console, the data shares are available on the Inbound tab.
