          Automate Flows in Data 360

          Automate Flows in Data 360

Define automations and chain together Data 360 processes that include ingestion (Salesforce CRM and Amazon S3 data streams), segmentation and activation, identity resolution, and calculated insights. You can run processes in a sequence as needed instead of waiting to run them at a scheduled time. For example, you can chain the processes to refresh calculated insights or run segmentation when data ingestion is completed. You can define automations to monitor flow runs or check their progress. Use Flow Builder to create Data 360 flows. With Flow Builder, you can build complex enterprise-scale automation with automated triggers, reusable building blocks, and prebuilt solutions.

          Required Editions

Available in: All Editions supported by Data 360. See Data 360 edition availability.
          User Permission Set Needed
          To create autolaunched flow:

          Permission set:

          • Data Cloud Architect

Create an autolaunched flow that defines the complete workflow of the Data 360 processes.

          1. In Data 360, select Setup.
          2. In the Quick Find box, enter Flows, and select Flows.
          3. Click New Flow.
          4. Select Start From Scratch, then click Autolaunched Flow (No Trigger), and then click Create.
The autolaunched flow runs when a button is clicked. It doesn’t require user interaction.
          5. On the canvas, click Add Element, and then click Action.
          6. In the left pane, click Data 360, and select a Data 360 action.
          7. Enter the label, input values, and then click Done.
          8. On the canvas, click Add Element, and then click Wait for Conditions.
When a flow pauses, it waits for one or more resume events. Resume the flow when a specified platform event is published.
          9. Enter the label and wait configuration label.
          10. Go to the Resume Event tab and select A Platform Event Message is Received.
          11. From the Platform Event dropdown, select an event, and then click Done.

Create a record-triggered flow to publish a platform event in Data 360.

          • Create a Record-Triggered Flow in Data Cloud
Create a record-triggered flow to publish platform events of Data 360 actions. You can use the published platform event to resume your paused auto-launched flow. With a record-triggered flow, you can update another record, send a notification, initiate a process, or maintain data consistency. A record-triggered flow runs only when a record is created or updated. It can update a record 10 times faster than a record-change process.
          • Guidelines and Limits for Automations
You can configure automations based on your requirements using the Data 360 actions. When planning an automation, make sure to review the guidelines and limits. Throttling limits the maximum number of API requests triggered within a specified time period.
