Setting science-based targets isn’t based on how much GHG emissions a company can reduce, but rather it focuses on how much a company must reduce to do their part in the collective effort toward achieving a sustainable society.

Using Net Zero Cloud, you can set science-based targets using these steps:

          1. Create commitment: Create a commitment to establish your intent toward climate action, and submit it to the submit to a commitment program, such as Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for approval.
          2. Set emissions inventory: Prepare an annual emissions inventory as a prerequisite for setting targets.
          3. Set targets: Set your company’s goals toward climate action. In the carbon footprint tab, select a carbon footprint record.

You can create emissions reduction targets, associate them to your commitment, and track and manage them to achieve your commitment.
