            Salesforce for Slack authenticates across Salesforce for Slack apps all at once, per org, to simplify access to core Salesforce services.

            • Connect the Salesforce for Slack App to a Salesforce Org
              Use the Salesforce for Slack app to authenticate across Salesforce for Slack integrations. After you connect the app to Salesforce, you don’t need to authenticate to the other apps in your workspace.
            • Permission Scopes for the Salesforce for Slack App
              The Salesforce for Slack app uses a set of permission scopes to read, write, and interact with Salesforce.
            • Salesforce for Slack App User Mappings
              The Salesforce for Slack app shared user mapping enables a Slack user to authenticate to a Salesforce org one time for all Salesforce for Slack integrations. The apps must be installed in the same Salesforce org within the same Slack workspace. When a user authenticates successfully to Salesforce for Slack, the user mapping is created.
            • Approvals in Slack
              With Salesforce for Slack, you can manage your approvals from within your Slack workspace. Typically, a user creates a record in Salesforce and submits it for approval. The assigned approvers receive a request notification in Slack, enabling them to approve or reject the request.

              Tailor your customer experience with field-level personalization and quick actions by using Slack Record Layouts.
            • Unfurled Links in Slack Messages
              Use URL unfurling to preview record home page details for standard objects in Slack when sharing salesforce.com or force.com links. Unfurling doesn’t account for non-record home links such as object home list views. URL unfurling is supported by the User Interface API.
