Real-Time Reporting
Create account and promotion-related real-time reports based on your requirements using Real-Time Reporting (RTR). RTR provides flexible configurations to design a fact-based report that uses the same KPIs and calculation rules as a promotion or account P&L. Use these reports to get a live view of critical business metrics and make better decisions during the account planning, promotion execution, and post-event analysis phases of Trade Promotion Management (TPM).
With real-time responses, RTR supports iterative planning processes during all phases of the TPM lifecycle. For example, during the iterative planning processes, a key account manager (KAM) identifies the gaps in promotion planning and makes relevant changes. The KAM can view the impact on their account directly after making the changes, and create a more robust account plan that suits them and their retail partner.
Use RTR to configure reports with the metrics that are relevant for you. Configure a report with real-time aggregated values of a KPI for multiple accounts and categories, add dimensions (such as product, payment, and tactic) to your report, and customize how the data in a report is grouped and sorted based on the attributes of a dimension.
A report can be a scorecard or a flat list. A scorecard provides a summary of the most significant KPIs of a promotion or account at one glance. You can view the aggregated value of KPIs in a scorecard. A flat list provides details that are grouped at different levels. You can configure scorecards to appear as standalone elements on separate pages or with scorecards from other reports. The KPI values in the scorecard and flat list are based on the configurations of the respective sections.
You can switch from one report to another with just a click, and download and save a report as an Excel sheet.
- Components of a Real-Time Report
Components of a real-time report (RTR) are KPIs, report dimensions, and report metadata. - Configure a Real-Time Report
To configure a report, first design KPIs for reporting. Then, create report dimensions to define the attributes of relevant objects that can be shown in a report. To show attributes in a report, from the list of attributes defined in a report dimension, add the relevant attributes in the report’s metadata. Also, in the report metadata of a report add relevant KPIs, time granularity, and details about how data is filtered, aggregated, and shown in the report. Finally, create a Lightning Component App page, and then add the relevant Lightning Web components to the page. You can also embed a report in a promotion record page. - Export a Report
You can download a report and view the report in an Excel sheet. - Examples: Create Reports
Create an account report, and then modify the JSON for that account report to quickly create other reports such as Promotion or Payment reports.
