For years, the admissions team at Henson Bell University has been striving to admit a more diverse group of students to STEM degree programs. With Admissions Connect recently implemented, the admissions director hopes to find that elusive and more inclusive next class.

Regina feels that test scores are just one consideration among many, and not even the most relevant for this otherwise compelling applicant. She writes up her feedback, citing Marla's insightful, purposeful personal essay and focused academic preparation. Here is a strong, unique applicant—just what the admissions team is looking for. Regina submits her comments along with her wholehearted recommendation to admit.

Lastly, Regina loops in the admissions director on the application record so that Marla’s application isn’t lost in the shuffle. The admissions director decides to include Marla’s application in the final round of reviews and she’s admitted for the Fall semester. In August, Marla makes her way to her first Emerging Technologies class.
