Data Migration to Education Cloud Within Your Org

Use the Data Processing Engine to migrate your data to the Education Cloud data model within your org.

Note Objects are grouped into clusters based on the data that they represent, and clusters into domains. Each cluster has a unique Data Processing Engine definition. Run the Data Processing Engine definitions sequentially to transform and migrate your data.

• Prerequisites for Data Migration Within Your Org
  Turn on features, set up permissions, and create the records and custom fields required for data migration to Education Cloud within your org.
• Install the Migration Packages in Your Org
  Install the unmanaged packages in the org where the migration is to be performed.
• Use the Guided Flow for Migration to Education Cloud
  Use the guided flow to ensure that you complete the migration steps in the right sequence.
• Migrate Account and Contact Records to Education Cloud
  Convert individual model account and contact records to person account records in Education Cloud.
• Run the Data Processing Engine Definitions
  Run the Data Processing Engine definitions for each cluster sequentially to migrate your data. After each run, confirm the accuracy of the migrated data before you proceed to the next cluster.
• Validate the Migrated Data
  Plan and test the migrated data to ensure its accuracy and completeness.
• Delete the Migration Files
  After you complete the migration, you can uninstall the migration packages to delete all custom fields and files from the packages that are no longer required.
