          Learning Management

Use Learning Wizard or Business APIs in Education Cloud to manage your courses, programs, or other learning offerings.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions with Education Cloud

In Education Cloud, a learning course is the basic unit on which you build more elaborate offerings, such as undergraduate or doctorate programs. Every learning has a default learning outcome that’s related to a learning achievement. If needed, you can also create additional learning outcomes. View the related records in the related lists of the learning record. See Model Learning Program Offerings.

Define Learning Requirements in the Learning Wizard

You can specify learning requirements such as prerequisites, corequisites, recommendations, and other criteria, when you create a learning. In the Learning Wizard, a learning requirement can be defined using:

            • Conditions grouped by logic, represented by the Learning Foundation Item object.
            • Policy rules (expression sets in Business Rule Engine) with custom logic for complex use cases.

The Learning Rule object is a junction between the Learning and Rule (expression set) objects. When you create a learning with a rule-based requirement, a learning rule record is created.

Import a Course Catalog With Business APIs

Institutions can import their existing course catalog easily using the Course Catalog Business APIs. See Education Cloud Business APIs.
