          Appointment Management

          Education Cloud provides a central self-service system for managing appointments. Learners have visibility over your staff's availability in any department, based on their configured location and appointment channels. They can view and schedule appointments, and if you set up the virtual appointments feature, they can also join virtually. Your staff can also schedule appointments on behalf of learners from their records. Unifying all departments on a single scheduling tool increases your learners' ability to use all of your services.

          Note Starting in March 2023, Salesforce offers Salesforce for Education, which includes integrated platform solutions and managed packages. This article provides information about Education Cloud, a platform solution. If you're not sure which version your institution uses, check with your Salesforce administrator.

          Education Cloud includes an initial 1,000 appointments per month, plus an additional:

          • 150 per month per CRM user for the Enterprise Edition.
          • 200 per month per CRM user for the Unlimited Edition.

          If you need more appointments, contact your account executive.

          • Manage the Appointment Experience in Education Cloud
            Many staff members and learners prefer the control and convenience of booking their appointments online rather than working through a call center. Configure your Experience site to enable them to find time slots and book appointments on their own, on desktop or mobile.
          • Set Up Virtual Appointments With AWS Chime
            After you configure Salesforce Scheduler for Education Cloud, set up virtual appointments with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Chime SDK to add audio and video capabilities to the learners' portal.
