Set Up Your Org

Turn on features and set up permissions to prepare your org for data migration to Education Cloud.

1. Log in to your org.
2. Turn on Education Cloud:
   1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Education Cloud.
   2. Under Feature Settings, select Set Up Education Cloud.
   3. Turn on Education Cloud.
3. Set up permissions:
   1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Permission, and then select Permission Sets.
   2. Click Education Cloud Full Access, and then click Manage Assignments.
   3. If users with the System Administrator and Analytics Cloud Integration User profiles aren't included in the list, add them.
4. Turn on person accounts.
   See Enable Person Accounts.
5. If you’re migrating from Student Success Hub, turn on group membership:
   1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Group Membership, and then select Group Membership Settings.
   2. Turn on Create and manage households and groups.
6. Set up contact-to-account relationship:
   1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Account Settings, and then select Account Settings.
   2. Click Edit.
   3. Select Allow users to relate a contact to multiple accounts, and save your changes.
7. If you’re migrating from Student Success Hub, turn on care plans:
   1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Care Plan, and then select Care Plan Settings.
   2. Turn on Create and manage care plans.
8. If you don’t have edit access to objects and fields, provide the access:
   1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Profiles, and then select Profiles.
   2. Click System Administrator.
   3. Under Apps, click Object Settings.
   4. Click Affiliation, and then click Edit.
   5. Under Field Permissions, enable edit access for all fields, and then save your changes.
   6. If you’re migrating data from Education Data Architecture, similarly provide edit access for these source and target (Education Cloud) objects:

9. Similarly, provide edit access for the Analytics Cloud Integration User profile.
10. Set up these permissions to work with Data Pipelines:
    1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Permission, and then select Permission Sets.
    2. Click Data Pipelines Base User, and then click Manage Assignments.
    3. If users with the System Administrator and Analytics Cloud Integration User profiles aren't included in the list, add them.
11. Turn on Data Pipelines:
    1. From Setup, In the Quick Find box, enter Data Pipelines, and then select Get Started.
    2. Turn on Data Pipelines.
12. Set up permissions to work with the Data Processing Engine.
