To provide a rewarding learning experience, educational institutions must clearly understand and support learner requirements. These requirements can vary from career counseling for an individual to orientation for a large batch of freshmen. Institutions need to monitor delivery of services and initiatives at scale, oversee advisor assignments, and track learner progress. Education Cloud equips your institution with the right tools to effectively meet these requirements and drive student success.
Here are some ways you can use Education Cloud to support the learner journey:
- Model programs with non-scholastic benefits, then schedule and track benefit disbursements.
- Create alerts to get notified about learner performance.
- Offer case-based advising, assign and manage success teams, and create personalized care plans.
- Create custom record pages and consoles for directors and advisors.
- Get insights with analytics and monitor institutional Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for student success.
- Enhance your learner self-service portal with student success components.
- Enable advisors and learners to conveniently schedule appointments and collaborate.
Example
At Valley School District, high school counselor Devi Gill's job has never been more challenging. A year of remote learning required her to coordinate the delivery of books, tablet devices, and Wi-Fi hotspots to students such as Elijah, who lives with his grandmother, and to help seniors with college applications from a distance.
Over at Callaras University, academic advisor Adrian Morges is busy, too. When he checks his email this morning, he sees that one student rescheduled an appointment to talk about degree planning, and he's meeting with two students later in the day.
- At 10 AM: Stephanie, a sophomore, hasn't registered for next semester's classes. She's dragging her feet and questioning her choice of major.
- At 2 PM: Stuart, a transfer student, needs a plan to get back on track after a year of health and financial issues hurt his academic performance.
Luckily for Devi and Adrian, their institutions use Education Cloud’s Student Success app, providing them with a robust set of tools to impart equitable, unified, and collaborative support to their students.
With the Student Success app in K-12 schools, teachers, counselors, and other support staff such as Devi:
- Have the data they need to support students — grades, notes, pending tasks, deadlines — all in one place.
- Can easily collaborate to identify and deliver assistance to students by using personalized care plans.
- Are alerted to students who need support based on the ABCs: attendance, behavior, and courses.
- Can securely track tasks, interactions, and services provided to students and measure the impact of interventions and programs.
With the Student Success app in higher education, support staff can make use of all these features and use additional tools to foster focused conversations with students about educational success. Counselors, coaches, advisors, and other higher ed support staff like Adrian can:
- Schedule and manage in-person, phone, and virtual appointments with students in just a few clicks.
- Create and manage alerts especially for college and university students, such as for academics, careers, financial aid, and housing.
- Assign tasks directly to students to help them achieve a goal or reach a milestone.
- Communicate with students by using a dedicated portal, where students can see who's on their success team, schedule appointments for support services, and stay on top of their assigned tasks.
Education Cloud empowers educators to provide proactive and personalized support to every Elijah, Stephanie, and Stuart in their care.
