Create and manage transfer equivalency relationships and the entire transfer credit
process from a unified interface in Education Cloud that automatically matches and suggests
credits. Registrars can use the guided process to review submitted documentation and to
articulate transfer credit requests. Applicants request estimates for transferable credits
directly in the application portal on the Experience Cloud site.

Developer Editions with Education Cloud
Provide eligible applicants with the means to accelerate their learning journey, helping them
save time, effort, and fees by granting transfer credits. The registrar staff can consider an
applicant's transfer credit application if the applicant has:
Prior learning experience from another educational institution in the same or similar
offering
Relevant work experience that qualifies them to be of higher academic standing
Certifications from recognized institutions or assessment standards, such as prior
learning assessments or the College-Level Examination Program
Military experience
Registrars configure a Transfer Credit stage in admissions applications to receive transfer
credit evaluation requests. Applicants can request transfer credit estimates for prior
learning directly on the Experience Cloud application portal. To request estimates, applicants
enter prior learning details and upload supporting documents. If they received unofficial
transfer credit estimates from the Transfer Credit Agent, applicants can reuse these to
prefill their applications. When an applicant submits their information, the application
automatically creates official transfer credit requests.
When the applicant enrolls, the approved transfer credits apply toward their program
requirements.
Example: Prospective applicant who wants to transfer to your institution
John, a transfer applicant, is seeking to transition from a sending institution (community
college) to your university's Computer Science program. During the admissions cycle, John
submits his official academic transcripts for a formal transfer credit evaluation.
The Office of the Registrar reviews his coursework to determine articulation. They analyze
his Math 181: Calculus 1 (4 Credits) against the university's MATH 31A: Differential and
Integral Calculus (4 semester units). By reviewing the course syllabus and learning
outcomes, the registrar establishes a direct equivalency.
