The permission sets in Education Cloud give users access to the elements that they need to be successful. As you get ready to use Education Cloud, consider the roles in your institution and the access they need. Let's look at some different roles and see what licenses are good for them.
Admissions Director
Dimitri Trapalis is the Admissions Director for Astro University. It's Dmitri's responsibility to develop and implement the recruitment and admissions strategy, budget, and vision. Because their role requires access to a broad set of data in Education Cloud, the appropriate permission set license for Dimitri is either Education Cloud Full Access or Education Cloud Limited Access.
Academic Advisor
Yui Sato is an Academic Advisor at Cloudy College. Yui's job is to help create a class of learners to meet enrollment and institutional revenue targets. Yui needs access to information about course and program enrollments, schedules, admissions data, and more. Because Yui needs access to much of Education Cloud, the appropriate permission set license for them is Education Cloud Full Access.
Application Reviewer
Regina Altman reviews admissions applications for Astro University. She's responsible for application intake and review, and doesn't need access to anything beyond what's required for applications. The permission set license for Regina is Education Cloud Limited Access.
Prospective Student
Stephanie Rhimes is interested in becoming a student at Cloudy College. To submit an application, request information, or schedule an admissions interview, Stephanie needs the Education Cloud for Experience Cloud User permission set license.
Recruiter
Marquis Bryant is a recruiter for Cloudy College. He's responsible for representing Cloudy at college fairs, on-campus events, conferences, and recruitment events. He supports prospective students throughout the admissions process, by communicating application requirements and deadlines. Marquis needs the Education Cloud Full Access permission set license.
System Administrator
Nina Brown is the Salesforce admin at Cloudy College. She leads the ongoing development and configuration of Cloudy's Salesforce deployment, ensuring that it works seamlessly across campus. Nina acts as the subject matter expert on the critical CRM processes at the college. Nina needs the Education Cloud Full Access permission set license.
