Education Cloud Release Notes

Support alumni engagement, manage fundraising development activities and processes, strengthen course and learning program management, and give applicants an enhanced application process. Follow your alumni's user journey with a unified record view and a dedicated alumni relations console. Keep alumni engaged and connected with each other and with your institution by using new Alumni Relations portal components to create an alumni directory. Use Fundraising features to track opportunities, manage campaigns, and coordinate fundraising activities. Maintain your course catalog and easily build learning programs by using the intuitive and flexible Learning Program Plan Builder.

• Use Education Cloud for Advancement and Alumni Relations
  Education Cloud for Advancement and Alumni Relations enables alumni relations team members to keep track of alumni to help them stay engaged and invested in their alma mater. Gain insights from analytics dashboards, and monitor achievements, milestones, interests, and more to ensure that the engagement is meaningful to your institution and alumni. When an alumni relations coordinator or manager opens the app, they arrive on a home page with features curated for their role and license type.
• Gain Insights to Streamline and Enhance Alumni Engagement
  Analyze alumni engagement metrics by using the Alumni Engagement Insights dashboard in the Education Analytics app. Get an overview of the alumni community based on total alumni strength, alumni portal users, educational achievements, and employment details. Easily track open cases and alerts as cards to ensure prompt responses to alumni concerns and enhance the overall alumni engagement experience.
• Engage Alumni on Your Experience Cloud Site with Profile Components
  Enhance your Experience Cloud site with new Lightning web components for alumni engagement. With the components, alumni users can create a profile and add it to an alumni directory where they can connect with other alumni from your institution. Alumni users can upload a photo to their profile, and control the information that appears in the directory.
• Use Fundraising with Education Cloud
  Use Fundraising with Education Cloud to track opportunities, manage campaigns, and coordinate other fundraising activities. Fundraising is now included with Education Cloud to help streamline those processes.
• Use Marketing Cloud Engagement for Education for Alumni Relations
  Efficiently communicate with alumni by using out-of-the-box templates to support your alumni activities. Schedule automated emails to tell alumni about your institution's mission and to welcome them to the alumni portal.
• Use the Academic Operations App to Manage Learning and Academic Operations
  Use the Learning Wizard in Academic Operations to create courses, programs, and customized learning offerings, define learning requirements and outcomes, and manage academic schedules. Use the Learning Program Builder to represent and organize the components of a well-defined learning plan, including required and elective courses, so that your staff can set up learners for timely degree completion. See a summary of the learner's academic details on the updated account record page.
• Create Advising Programs for Learners
  Use an updated workflow in Student Success to create programs with advising benefits, and associate success teams. Show programs on the learner portal, allowing learners to view details and self-enroll. Use provided flows to automatically create and update benefit disbursements when a learner schedules an appointment. Add assessments to programs to capture learner requirements during enrollment.
• Enhance Your Learner Portal for Program Enrollment
  Add new Lightning web components for program enrollment to your Experience Cloud site, including EDUProgramMgmtProgramHome, EDUProgramMgmtProgramOverview and EDUProgramMgmtPgmEnrlRecordPage FlexCards, and new pages for Programs and Assessments. Learners can use them to explore new support programs and to self-enroll, take assessments, and view their submitted responses.
• Use the Updated Case Record Page to View Advising Details
  Enhance the case Lightning record page to enable advisors to view advising engagements for the case, add case team members, and schedule appointments. The updated page includes tabs for advising, program enrollments, appointments, tasks, and record alerts, and the Action Launcher component, which provides quick access to frequently used actions.
• Use Guided Setup to Set Up Education Cloud
  Set up Education Cloud quickly and easily with guided setup. Use guided setup to turn on features, install apps, and configure basic settings.
• Complete Applications Faster and Assign Application Tasks
  Learners can complete applications more easily now that forms autofill with data that's already stored for an applicant. We're also introducing the Individual Application Task object that you can use to create action plans for applications.
• Education Cloud Full Access Permission Set License
  For clarity and consistency with the other permission set licenses, we've changed the name for the Education Cloud Objects and Components permission set license to Education Cloud Full Access.
• Education Cloud Limited Access Permission Set License
  As of July 2023, you can provide your users access to the features that they need by using the new standard permission set, Education Cloud Limited Access. This permission set grants wider access to Education Cloud features than Education Cloud Reviewer. For clarity, consistency, and to accommodate additional use cases, the Education Cloud Reviewer license is now Education Cloud Limited Access.
• New and Changed Objects in Education Cloud
  Do more with the new and updated Education Cloud objects.
