            Set Up Document Generation in Nonprofit

            Enable server-side documentation generation to automatically generate gift acknowledgement and tax receipt documents.

            User Permissions Needed  
            To set up Document Generation:

            Fundraising_Admin permission set group

            Before you set up Gift Acknowledgments, turn on person accounts. Give Salesforce admins the DocGen Designer permission set license and the SalesforceCRM Content User license. Give all users the DocGen User permission set.

            Note
            Note Person accounts were not built to work with Nonprofit Success Pack and therefore, are not supported for use with NPSP. If Person Accounts are not already enabled in your org, don't enable them. Once you turn on Person Accounts in your organization, you can't turn the feature off. See NPSP and Person Accounts in NPSP FAQ.

            f you don’t see the DocGen permission set licenses in your Salesforce org, contact your Salesforce account executive.

            1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Doc, and select General Settings.
            2. Turn on Design Document Templates in Salesforce.
            3. Go to Document Generation Settings.
            4. Click New.
            5. In the Label field, enter DocumentGenerationSetting.
            6. In the Document Template Library Name field, enter DocGenDocumentTemplateLibrary.
            7. Click Enable Server-Side Documentation Generation.
            8. In Preview Type, select PDF.
            9. Click Create.
