About Managing Duplicate Contacts

Contact Merge in Data Integrity makes it easy to find and merge duplicate Contacts in Salesforce.

From the Contact Merge tab, click Search Contacts to search for individual Contacts. You can also click See Duplicate Contacts to see a list of duplicate record sets, but you'll need to set up duplicate detection first.

Before using Contact Merge, it's important to think about how your organization handles duplicate Contacts when they're found. For example, you may want to document a workflow or decision matrix, including the criteria you set up in your Matching Rules, to make reviewing and merging duplicates easier.
