Data Integrity Architecture
Data Integrity helps maintain the integrity of your data for Address, Contact, and Account objects.
The Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) app is a prerequisite for Data Integrity. Data Integrity works with the NPSP Address object, and consequently updated address records are only stored in NPSP. Data Integrity interacts with and modifies objects and fields in NPSP version 3.175 or later.
To start a workflow, a Salesforce administrator configures a job schedule in Data Integrity. Configuration options allow various parameters to be set, including:
Selecting how to merge duplicate Contacts
Updating addresses that are to be standardized
Setting time and frequency of updates performed by the system
Data Integrity interfaces with NPSP to process and transform the selected data. Depending on jobs that are initiated by the administrator, bulk data is deduplicated or standardized by Data Integrity. Standardized data is then pushed back to the Address object and stored in NPSP. Related NPSP or custom triggers then initiate an update of related Account and Contact records, if required.

Data Integrity has significant data processing capabilities. The system can process millions of Address records during non-business hours. Use these out-of-the box jobs to improve the quality and integrity of your data:
