Set Up Duplicate Detection

Create Matching Rules and Duplicate Rules, and run a duplicate job to see a list of duplicate records.

Before you can see a list of duplicate record sets on the Contact Merge page, you'll need to:

1. Create Matching Rules to tell Salesforce how to look for duplicates.

2. Create Duplicate Rules to tell Salesforce what to do when it finds duplicates as they're created, or

3. Run a Duplicate Job to find existing duplicates.
