and Shared Features

These features, along with standard Salesforce platform features, can solve complex business problems such as automating processes, managing productivity, getting deeper insights, and handling data.
Nonprofit Cloud for Fundraising
If your nonprofit raises money from individual donors, turn on Fundraising features. Nurture relationships, use data to drive fundraising, and boost efficiency and productivity in any type of fundraising.
Fundraising includes these apps that group common tasks and jobs for different roles.
- Fundraising Operations
- Helps your team perform the essential tasks of fundraising. Gift processors can efficiently enter and process batch gifts, add donor commitments, and update or pause gift commitment schedules. Donor support officers get tools to track and respond to donor requests.
- Donor Engagement
- Assists with mass-market fundraisers and helps campaign managers track and manage multichannel fundraising efforts. It collects engagement and donation data through campaigns, outreach source codes, and gift commitments to make managing outreach efforts fast and effective.
- Philanthropy & Partnerships
- Provides tools to cultivate and solicit major gifts. Major gift officers, relationship managers, and grant writers can research donors and grantmakers, and then track interactions and progress.
- Fundraising Strategy
- Provides a high-level understanding of your fundraising data and activities. Executives and fundraising managers use this app to monitor progress and plan for future fundraising efforts.
These apps come together so that your fundraising team works in one system on a standard data model to track all of their work. With a unified view of each donor, your team can raise more money more efficiently by minimizing duplication or conflicts.
Nonprofit Cloud for Program and Case Management
Use Nonprofit Cloud to manage the services your organization provides. Help people facing challenges such as unemployment, homelessness, family issues, abuse, and neglect. Run community programs like food banks, animal rescue, and elder care. Provide and track programs that clean up natural habitats. Set up and track company programs that give back to the community. Run programs to help and guide students and support youth growth.
Depending on your mission and operations, turn on these tools to manage your mission-driven services.
- Manage Programs and Benefits
- Program Management provides a data model to track your programs, benefits, and benefit disbursements. It also gives you the tools to schedule benefit disbursements and track attendance.
- Process Referral Requests and Intake
- Case Referral Intake provides tools for inbound and outbound participant referrals, converting them to cases for assessment and follow-up. Use features such as guided flows to further streamline the intake process for your team and program participants.
- Create Personalized Care Plans
- Care Plans provides a way to create, manage, and share personalized plans to help program participants reach their goals. Start from standardized templates you define, and customize care plans for each participant’s needs.
- Collect and Validate Assessments
- Discovery Framework helps you design and organize assessments that evaluate program participants during intake and throughout their participation.
- Take Notes of Client Interactions
- Interaction Summaries provides tools to capture and store detailed notes of meetings and conversations with students, clients, caseworkers, advisors, partners, and others. Protect the confidentiality of notes, add next steps, and quickly find notes from previous interactions.
- Manage Your Outcome Strategy
- Outcome Management is an impact measurement tool that defines, measures, and evaluates your outcome strategy. Link your outcome strategy to programs and benefits in Salesforce. Use the data that you collect to create reports on outcomes. Then, share the reports with the communities you serve, your board, your donors, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Document Incidents and Concerns
- Complaint Management and Incident Tracking provides tools to track unforeseen incidents in program participants’ lives and help resolve them.
Select these tools in a Nonprofit Cloud trial org and set up the ones that make sense for your organization. For example, if you don’t employ case managers or social workers to manage individual cases, keep it simple and only use Program Management to track programs and benefits.
Nonprofit Cloud for Grantmaking
If your organization provides grants of currency or goods, talk to your Salesforce account executive about using Nonprofit Cloud for Grantmaking. With Nonprofit Cloud for Grantmaking, you get the tools included in Nonprofit Cloud plus purpose-built tools that help you plan, manage, and measure outbound grants.
Grantmaking gives you a unified view of your funding programs through the planning, delivery, and evaluation stages. Plus, a site template for Experience Cloud helps you create an online portal to communicate and collaborate with your grantees.
Like Nonprofit Cloud’s program and case management features, Grantmaking also works with Outcome Management to measure progress and report on results.
The Salesforce Platform and Shared Features
Nonprofit Cloud is part of Salesforce Industries, which means that you get to use features that are shared across Industries products. These features, along with standard Salesforce platform features, can help you solve complex business problems, like automating processes, managing productivity, getting deeper insights, and managing data.
Here are just a few examples of the tools included in Nonprofit Cloud.
- Automate Processes and Data
- In addition to using standard tools like Flow Builder, you can automate processes with other features. For example, Data Processing Engine transforms data in your Salesforce org and writes the results to create or update records. Use Data Processing Engine to generate rollup field data for both programs and fundraising.
- Manage Productivity and Tasks
- Boost your team’s efficiency with features that help standardize tasks, quickly launch actions, and track day-to-day operations. For example, both fundraisers and program staff can use Interaction Summaries to keep detailed, permanent notes of their discussions with stakeholders. The same tool can capture an intake conversation with a program participant or a meeting with a prospective donor.
- Get Deeper Insights into Stakeholders
- Nonprofit Cloud includes tools to analyze and visualize your interactions with stakeholders. For example, the Timeline component provides a comprehensive, chronological, and interactive view of stakeholders’ activities in a single place. When any user works with the stakeholder, they can easily see a complete history of interactions.
- Manage Data Security
- Whether you’re dealing with sensitive program participant information or financial information about your donors, security is key. Nonprofit Cloud includes data security tools, such as Identity Verification, that help protect a participant's information, prevent unauthorized use, and comply with data regulations.
- Integrate with Other Solutions
- Fundraisers, program staff, and others can all work in Nonprofit Cloud, but it also includes tools to integrate with other solutions. For example, Accounting Subledger consolidates data between Salesforce CRM and your accounting system to help you manage your accounting. Use Accounting Subledger (included with Nonprofit Cloud) to help track your fundraising accounting in your accounting system.
