Introduction
Your team puts a great deal of care, time, and effort into crafting solicitation letters, event invites, and other communications. After working so hard on your mailings, you want to make sure your donors receive them and you're not wasting resources sending duplicate mailings or mailing to bad addresses.
Fortunately, the Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) comes with robust address management tools to help you track and easily update your constituents’ addresses.
NPSP makes address updates easy. Simply update the address on a Contact record, and the change is automatically applied to the other Contacts in the household and the Household Account itself. That way all records within a household share the same address.
Summary of Address Management Features
NPSP is designed to help nonprofits perform common address management tasks.
With address management you can:
- Update address information with one edit. When you update the address for one record in a household, all related records get the same update too.
- Track all past addresses and address updates.
- Classify addresses as home, work, or other address type.
- Mark an address as undeliverable, so you don't include it in your mailings.
- Verify addresses as deliverable and update address format to match postal service standards. See Configure Address Management for more information.
