Legacy NPSP Recurring Donations
Create, managed, and delete legacy recurring donations. Learn about standard field mappings with Opportunities and other features for legacy recurring donations.
- Create Legacy Recurring Donations
Create either open-ended or fixed-length recurring donations to track a donor's intent to give regularly into the future. These records are named automatically. - Change, Close, or Delete a Legacy Recurring Donation
When a donor wants to modify how much or how often they give—or if they want to end a recurring donation—you need to modify or delete their recurring donation record. When you delete a recurring donation, NPSP deletes all related opportunity records. - Standard Field Mapping for Legacy Recurring Donations
When NPSP creates child Opportunity records for a Recurring Donation, it copies the value of several fields from the Recurring Donation onto the Opportunity records. This is a big time saver, as it means you don't have to manually enter values for all those fields on each Opportunity record. - Create Custom Installment Periods for Legacy Recurring Donations
NPSP Legacy Recurring Donations includes five commonly used installment periods, but you can add and remove custom installment periods as needed. For example, create an installment period for gifts made three times a year. - Legacy Recurring Donations versus Opportunity Payments
The term "Recurring Donations" in the nonprofit world often brings to mind a donor who has committed to giving a financial gift to your organization multiple times. In the Nonprofit Success Pack, you can track this type of donation in different ways. - Configure Legacy Recurring Donations
