Using NPSP Data Import Templates

Start here to learn how to use the NPSP Data Import Templates for your imports.

Open one of the NPSP Data Importer Templates in your favorite spreadsheet application so you can see how the data needs to be structured.

• Each row contains the data you’re importing into Contacts, Accounts, Addresses, Opportunities, or other objects.
• Each column represents a field on one of several objects. Some fields require special formatting such as email, postal code, and ID fields. To understand the correct data formats, refer to the instructions included in each template.

Add or remove fields from the template to suit your import requirements. Don’t forget to configure Advanced Mapping for any fields you add to the template. For guidance, see Advanced Mapping Overview.
