          Work With Program Engagements

Program Engagements track the relationship between Programs and the Clients, Organization Accounts, Household Accounts, or custom objects that engage with them.

For example, a Program Engagement can track a client enrolled in a class, a school receiving curriculum kits, or an animal in a rescue program.

          • Many Program Engagements are Client engagements, but you can also specify volunteers, donors, and service providers using the Role field.

          • The default naming for Program Engagements is Contact Name Start Date: Program Name. For example, Tom Higgins 2020-07-12: Lunch Program. You can override the default name on a case-by-case basis, or a Salesforce admin can customize record naming for your org.

          • Track the progress of Program Engagements using one of these Stages: Applied, Application Denied, Waitlisted, Enrolled, Active, Completed, or Withdrawn. See all waitlisted Program Engagements using the Waitlisted Program Engagements related list on the Program Engagements tab.

          Create a Program Engagement

When you create a Program Engagement, a Client is presumed to be the subject to which the Program and Services are delivered.

You can also create Program Engagements for Household Accounts, and if your admin has configured it, for Organization Accounts or custom objects.

          1. Click the Program Engagements tab.

          2. Click New.

          3. Give the Program Engagement a name. This name will be replaced by the automated naming configured for your org unless you select Auto-Name Override

          4. Select a Stage.

          5. Complete one of these tasks based on the type of Program Engagement you want to create:

            • To create an anonymous Program Engagement, leave the Client field blank. The Contact name will be replaced by "Anonymous." For example, Anonymous 2020-06-17: Hygiene Kits.

            • To create a Program Engagement for a household, enter a Household Account in the Household Account field.

            • If your admin added an Organization Account field, enter an organization account. This field may be named differently depending on how your admin set it up.

            • If your admin added a custom object, enter a value in the custom object field.

          6. Select the Program in which to enroll the client.

          7. Select the Program Cohort, if applicable.

          8. Select the client's Role in the Program.

          9. Click Save.
