Set Up Pathways
Complete these tasks to get Pathways up and running in your Student Success Hub higher ed org.
- Pathways Release Information
Like Student Success Hub, Pathways is a managed package. Version 1.1 was released with Student Success Hub 2.21. Unless otherwise noted at the beginning of the task, all setup tasks are required regardless of the version of Student Success Hub you originally installed. - Pathways Prerequisites
To use Pathways, umbrella Plan Requirements must specify either a Program Plan or a Parent Plan Requirement. In EDA Settings, verify that users can specify one or the other, but not both. - Install the Pathways Package
Install Pathways manually if you originally installed an earlier version of Student Success Hub. - Set or Verify Object and Field Permissions for Pathways
Pathways requires access to these objects. - Configure Sharing Settings for Pathways
For Pathways, we recommend modifying your default organization-wide default sharing settings for these objects. - Prepare Your School’s Data for Pathways
To use Pathways, your org needs records for Courses, Plan Requirements, Program Plans, and Terms. - Make Program Plans Available to Support Staff and Students
Update your app and portal to allow support staff and students to view Program Plans in a summarized component. - Make Personal Program Plans Available to Support Staff and Students
Update your app and portal to allow support staff and students to build Personal Program Plans to explore different scenarios for completing Program Plans and achieving their degree.

Pathways Prerequisites

On the Education Cloud Settings tab, in Education Data Architecture, click Settings.
Note If you don’t see the Education Cloud Settings tab, learn how to configure it in Education Cloud Settings in the EDA documentation. -
In EDA Settings, verify that Plan Requirement Hierarchy is selected. If it's not, click Edit.

Select Plan Requirement Hierarchy.

Save your changes.
Install the Pathways Package
Install Pathways manually if you originally installed an earlier version of Student Success Hub.

Go to the Pathways installer page.

Log in to the correct Salesforce org.

Wait for the installer to retrieve information about your org.

Click Install.
The installation may take a while. Check your email for confirmation that the installation was successful.
