Subscribe to CRM Analytics Dashboards in Slack

Subscribe to CRM Analytics Dashboards in Slack

Schedule regular delivery of dashboard snapshots. When viewing a CRM Analytics dashboard in Slack, you can subscribe to it and specify the delivery schedule and Slack recipients. The subscription runs the dashboard at your scheduled times (in your org’s time zone) and delivers fresh snapshots to you and your selected recipients.

          Create Subscriptions

          Important
Important Before a subscription is delivered, a snapshot of the dashboard is generated. The snapshot is your view, with your default start values, saved view, and row level security predicates applied. If you send the subscription to teammates or channels, they get the snapshot of your personal view, including any confidential data.

To create a subscription to a dashboard:

          1. Click the three dots next to the dashboard to open its action menu.
          2. Select Subscribe.
          3. Select the days, time, and if applicable, additional people or channels to receive the subscription.

Important: The hour options are Pacific Time. Convert to your time zone when selecting hours. For example, if you want your subscription to arrive at 10:00 AM Eastern Time, select 7:00 AM.

          4. Specify whether to include a snapshot of the dashboard in the subscription post. If the dashboard has saved views, select the view to appear with the subscription. Note: Lightning Web Components within dashboards don't appear in snapshots posted in Slack.
          5. Click Done.

If you included a snapshot with a subscription, your recipients have these options:

          • View and download as PDF
          • Open the item in Salesforce
          Note
Note Recipients receive a snapshot of the dashboard, not the saved view. The "Open in Salesforce" link directs them to their default dashboard view, not the dashboard creator's saved view.
          Note
Note The limit on concurrent dashboard subscriptions, including subscriptions to multiple saved views of a single dashboard, is 10 per user. The limit on dashboard subscriptions per hour per org is 500.

          Edit Subscriptions

Subscriptions are automatically enabled when created. To disable a subscription or change its options:

          1. On the Home tab, click View & Manage Subscriptions. Alternatively, enter the /analytics-crma-subscriptions command in the message field anywhere in Slack.
          2. Next to the subscription you want to edit, open the menu and select Edit.
          3. Update status, days, time, recipients, and snapshot options, as needed.
          4. Click Done.

          Delete Subscriptions

To delete a subscription to a dashboard:

          1. On the Home tab, click View & Manage Subscriptions. Alternatively, enter the /analytics-crma-subscriptions command in the message field anywhere in Slack.
          2. Next to the subscription you want to delete, open the menu and select Delete.
          3. In the confirmation box, click Yes.
          Note
Note Deleting a subscription in the CRM Analytics for Slack app stops the subscription in Slack. It doesn’t affect your dashboards or subscriptions in CRM Analytics.
