          Partner Connect Limits and Limitations

          Partner Connect Limits and Limitations

Review limits and limitations for Partner Connect.

Available in Lightning Experience in Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Sales or Service. Vendors must purchase a PRM add-on license for the partner admin user and each partner user who exports records. Partners aren’t required to purchase PRM licenses to use Partner Connect.
          • Only the Lead and Opportunity objects can be integrated across vendor and partner orgs.
          • Standard and custom fields with these field types are supported for integration.

            • Text and Text Area (except Text (Encrypted), Text Area (Long), and Text Area (Rich))
            • URL
          • Related records aren’t shared during record exports or updates, but partners can continue to view related records from the vendor’s org on the vendor’s partner site.
          • When selecting which objects and fields to integrate, vendor admins indicate which fields they want to be included for export. Of the exported fields, vendor admins can also select fields for which they want to updates to be sent and received between the vendor and partner Salesforce orgs. For each partner connection, vendor admins can send and receive updates on up to 10 fields per object.
          • Most lookup fields aren’t supported for integration, except the Account Name and Primary Campaign Source lookup fields on the Opportunity object. A vendor can mark these fields for export, but a partner can only import the name of the referenced field. These lookup fields don’t support sending or receiving updates.
          • Partners can attempt to export up to 200 records from a vendor’s partner site at one time.
          • Encrypted fields, regardless of whether they use Classic Encryption or Shield Platform Encryption, aren’t supported for integration.
          • To maintain optimum performance, Salesforce balances Lightning Platform API transaction loads by imposing a limit on the number of API requests an org is permitted to make over a 24-hour period. Record exports, imports, and updates made with Partner Connect can cause a partner’s org to reach their 24-hour limit, depending on the number of calls permitted per 24 hours (based on the org’s Salesforce edition). The amount of data and number of records exported, imported, or updated within 24 hours also impacts this limit. If your company consistently reaches the 24-hour API call limit, we recommend limiting the number of partner users you invite to export records, or mapping fewer fields between orgs.
          • Vendor admins don't have access to the Export Status field on Lead and Opportunity. So vendor admins can't add Export Status to list views on Lead and Opportunity record detail pages in the Experience Cloud partner site. Instead, vendor admins can assign the Create and Customize List Views permission to partner users and tell them to create their own list views that include the field.
