          Connect to a Vendor Org with Partner Connect

          After receiving an email from Salesforce, you have the details that are required to establish a connection with your vendor.

          Required Editions

          User Permissions Needed
          To turn on Partner Connect in the partner org:

          Customize Application (in the partner org)

          AND

          Set Up Partner Connect for a Partner Org (in the partner org)

          AND

          Establish an Approved PRM External Integration (in the vendor org)

          AND

          API Enabled (in the vendor org)

          Before completing your vendor’s connection request, make sure that you review the partner org settings for Partner Connect and configure what’s necessary.

          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Integrations, and then select Partner Connect.
          2. Under Connect, from the Connect with a Vendor section, click Add Vendor.
          3. Provide the account for the company you’re working with, and then click Done.
            The account can be an account or a partner account. Partner Connect adds the vendor account name to the external client app created for this connection. That way, you and other admins at your company can see which external client app connects you to each vendor org.
          4. Enter the connection details provided in the email that you received from Salesforce. If you don’t recall your partner site password, you can set it from the partner site with your username.

          This vendor is added to the Vendors list. After the vendor and partner orgs are connected, you see a connection status banner on this vendor that shows as Connected. But partner users can’t export records from the vendor’s Experience Cloud site until all vendor and partner setup steps are complete.

          The next setup step for partner admins is to select the objects and fields to integrate with the vendor’s org. Partner admins can proceed to that step after the vendor admin selects their own objects and fields for mapping. When your vendor is done with that step, Salesforce sends you an email with instructions on how to proceed.
