Invite a Partner to Connect to Your Vendor Org
Use Partner Connect to invite a partner admin to connect with your vendor org.
| Available in Lightning Experience in Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Sales Cloud or Service Cloud. Vendors must purchase a PRM add-on license for the partner admin user and each partner user who exports records. Partners aren’t required to purchase PRM licenses to use Partner Connect. |
- Give Partners Permission to Establish a Connection with the Vendor Org
Before Partner Connect allows a partner admin to establish a connection with a vendor org, the vendor admin must first acknowledge the partner admin as a trusted contact. To do so, the vendor admin must assign the Partner Admin Approved for Vendor Org Connection permission set to the partner admin. Vendor admins must repeat this task each time they want to connect with a new partner Salesforce org. - Select a Partner to Connect With
After giving partner admins permission to connect to the vendor’s Salesforce org, vendor admins kick off the Partner Connect setup process by selecting a partner company to connect with. After a vendor admin selects a partner, Salesforce sends an email to the partner admin with instructions on how to complete the connection request. - Select Vendor Objects and Fields to Integrate with the Partner’s Salesforce Org
After inviting a partner to connect, vendor admins must select the objects and fields that they want to integrate with their partner’s Salesforce org. During this step, vendors indicate which objects and fields contain data that they want partner users to be able to export. Vendors also select which field updates are sent and received across orgs and where the read-only partner version of the record is stored. Then we email the partner admin, asking them to select the objects and fields that they want to map to yours.
