User License and Experience Cloud Template Support for Partner Relationship Management
Partner Relationship Management (PRM) provides channel managers and partners with productivity features that help everyone work together. To gain access to PRM features, you must purchase the required licenses for each feature and your partner site must be built using Experience Cloud templates that support those features. Learn more about license requirements and feature availability in templates.
Required Editions
| Available for channel managers in Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, Developer Editions with Sales or Service. You must have at least one PRM add-on license. |
| Available for partners in supported Experience Cloud sites, accessed through Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, Developer Editions with Sales or Service. A PRM add-on license is required for each partner user. |
PRM Add-On Licenses
These Experience Cloud licenses provide access to PRM:
- Partner Community license
- Partner Community Login license
- Channel Account license
You must have at least one PRM license to configure PRM. An additional PRM license is required for each partner user. For some features, add-on licenses are also required. The table in this topic lists those requirements.
Some PRM features are available to customers still using legacy partner portal licenses. We recommend upgrading legacy partner portal license users to a comparable Experience Cloud license.
PRM-Supported Experience Cloud Templates
Partners access PRM features from Experience Cloud sites, which are each built on an Experience Cloud site template. Vendors can choose from various templates that support PRM features.
The Partner Central template, for example, comes configured with several channel sales workflows set up for you. Other templates support PRM features but can require more configuration by your Salesforce admin and Experience Cloud site developer.
