          Set Up Slack

          Set Up Slack

To collaborate on Salesforce data in Slack and quickly resolve customer issues, set up the Service Cloud for Slack app.

          1. Enable Service Cloud for Slack
First, complete the Swarming setup, then enable Slack apps in Salesforce. Then, turn on Service Cloud for Slack and start configuring the features that you want your swarming teams to have access to.
          2. Enable the Service Cloud for Slack App in Existing Channels
Salesforce Slack apps installed in the same workspace and connected to the same org share the user mapping between apps for any given Slack user.
          3. Set Up Service Cloud for Slack User Permissions
Give users the permissions they need to connect their Salesforce account to Slack and to swarm on a record in Slack. You can either assign users the default Slack Service User permission set, or add the required user permissions to your own custom permission set or user profile. Then, give users access to the Swarm and Swarm Members objects.
          4. Set Up the Swarm Conversations Component
To see Slack conversations linked to a swarm from a record in Lightning Experience, add the Swarm Conversations component to your record page layouts.
