Create a New CRUD Slack Record Layout
Create record layouts for accounts, opportunities, leads, cases, and contacts. In this example, the Slack Record Layout uses the Lead object in Setup.

| To connect Salesforce for Slack to a Salesforce org: | Connect Salesforce with Slack |
- From Setup, in the Object Manager, select Lead, and then select Slack Record Layouts.
- Click New.
- Select Record CRUD Layout and then Next.
- From the New Slack Record Layout window, enter Lead Layout. In the API Name field, enter Lead_Layout.
- In the Available list of fields, move Address and Annual Revenue to the Selected list. Preselected fields show the lock icon and are required for use cases to create or edit records.
- Click Next.

From the Customize Field Attributes window left column, select
Address. In the Display Modes, deselect
View.
Optionally, from Other Attributes, you can make a field required. A required field must be in Create and Edit modes, but View mode is optional.
- Select Annual Revenue. In Display Modes, deselect Create and Edit.
- Click Next.

From the Assign Actions window in the Available list of fields,
move New Account and New Contact to the Selected list.
You can use the Assign Actions window to add quick actions that are available in view mode on your record layout
- Click Next.
- Select Slack Record Layout.

Click Done.
For each profile and each record type associated with this entity, you can uniquely assign the layout individually or in bulk. Creating record layouts for every profile, record type or object isn’t required for your app to work.
