Salesforce for Slack App User Mappings

Salesforce for Slack App User Mappings

The Salesforce for Slack app shared user mapping enables a Slack user to authenticate to a Salesforce org one time for all Salesforce for Slack integrations. The apps must be installed in the same Salesforce org within the same Slack workspace. When a user authenticates successfully to Salesforce for Slack, the user mapping is created.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions

For example, when a Slack user authenticates to Salesforce for Slack, the user doesn’t need to authenticate to the Sales Cloud for Slack app in the same workspace.

You can view your own user mappings for your org. From your personal settings, enter Slack in the Quick Find box, and select Slack User Mappings.

Removing a user mapping doesn’t remove the org association from the app. You’re prompted to reconnect to the org the next time that you try to interact with the app. To remove an org association from an app, uninstall the app from Slack.
