Sales Cloud for Slack Shortcut and Slash Command
These shortcuts and slash commands are available in the Sales Cloud for Slack app.
Start typing a command directly into the Slack message field. For shortcuts, you can also click the Slack shortcut menu. Copying shortcut text into the message field doesn’t activate the associated action.
If you use other Slack apps connected to Salesforce, other commands are available.
| Action | Type | Details |
|---|---|---|
/sales create record |
Shortcut |
Create a record directly in Slack. |
/create a sales channel |
Shortcut |
Link an opportunity or account to a Slack channel. Channel members can collaborate on the records easily and get notifications about the records in Slack. |
/sales-search |
Slash command |
Sales Cloud for Slack can return searches on accounts, contacts, leads, and opportunities. Type the command, specify the kind of record you’re searching for, and add a search term: /sales-search [object] [terms] For example, type /sales-search opportunity Very Good Coffee to search all opportunities for that search term. If you don’t provide the object name in your search, only contacts are searched. To open a search modal, type only the command without adding an object or search term. |
/sales-menu |
Slash command |
Get a menu of common actions: Search Salesforce, View Pipeline, Start a Sales Channel, and Create a Record. |
/sales-pipeline |
Slash command |
See your team’s opportunities in a pipeline view. |
/sales-muted-notifications |
Slash command |

If you start typing a slash command and the type-ahead menu appears with no results, restart Slack desktop, or close your browser and reopen it.
