If you have access to more than one Salesforce user account, we send an email with a code to verify your address. This step maintains the security of your Salesforce accounts and makes sure that only users with access to the email account can view the list of Salesforce accounts. After you enter the verification code, a dashboard called the Environment Switcher opens. The Environment Switcher lists all the accounts that are associated with your email address. Select one to start the login process for that user account.

Verify Your Email Address and Log In

Log in to one of the user accounts associated with your email address.

          1. Open the Log In with Email page.
          2. Enter your email address, and then click Log In.
The Verify Your Identity page opens, and a verification code is sent in an email to the address that you entered.
          3. Copy the verification code from the email, and enter it on the Verify Your Identity page.
After your account is verified, the Environment Switcher opens with a tile for each of the Salesforce properties that you can access.
          4. Use the filter to show only production or sandbox environments, or search for an account.
            Note
Note Search the Environment Switcher to find a user account with the search box. From the moment you type, search starts delivering results. Any content you see in an Environment Switcher account tile is searchable. You can search for your user account by environment name, username, org type, or domain.
          5. To log in to any Salesforce user account shown in the Environment Switcher, click the tile for the account.
From that point, the login process is defined by your Salesforce admin. The process can require entering a password or logging in through a third-party identity provider.

Rename a User Account Tile in Environment Switcher

The name at the top of each user account tile in the Environment Switcher shows the environment name. To customize the name, click the Edit icon.

          Note
Note The environment name on a user account tile in the Environment Switcher is generated from the Salesforce Organization Name. If you change the environment name on the tile, it doesn’t change the Organization Name for your org.

Add an Account Tile to Your Favorites

Click the star icon in the account tile to add your most-used accounts to the Favorites section in Environment Switcher. The Favorites section is always at the top, so the accounts you add will be easy to access.

To remove an account tile from the Favorites, click the star icon again. The account tile moves back to the general section.
