          Book a Service Appointment

          Use Book Service Appointment to efficiently schedule service appointments. This procedure guides you through launching the process from various objects and booking an appointment with the necessary details.

          Available in: Automotive Cloud, Communications Cloud, Energy and Utilities Cloud, Manufacturing Cloud, Service Cloud, and Media Cloud. View edition availability.
          User Permissions Needed
          To use Book Service Appointment: Salesforce Field Service AND Book Service Appointment AND Field Service Scheduling
          1. Start the Book Service Appointment process.

            You can launch the Book Service Appointment process in several ways. Depending on your setup, it can be started from a work order, an account, an asset, a quote, an order, or a work type group.

            For example, to book an appointment for a work order:

            1. From the App Launcher, search for and select Work Orders.
            2. Open the work order for which you want to book an appointment.
            3. From the overflow menu, select Book Service Appointment.
              The Book Service Appointment page appears.
          2. Book a service appointment.
            1. Click Book Appointment.
            2. Enter these details: Earliest permitted start date, scheduling policy, due date, and service territory.
            3. Click Choose Time Slot.
              The available time slots for the selected dates are shown.
            4. Select a time slot.
            5. Click Book.
              A service appointment is booked. After booking an appointment, you can reschedule or cancel it.
